A Brief History of Type

 

Concept Statement

 

I intend to explore the relationship between :-

1. The change through time within Typography

2. Type and Language

3. Basics- (Typefaces and Fonts, Basic terminology)

4. Letterforms- Type facilities, types of serif etc.

5. Using Type

 

I intend to Inform and Educate a group of students that are learning typography to help there understanding the message that would like to state would be ultimatley to understand with agraphy and how to use it successfully. I would like to experiment with pop ups within my book to make the topic more interesting. In order to achieve this i will produce a book to experiment with the interactivity.

 

OUGD406 Communication is a Virus

We had decided on jobs priyesh is doing the blog, danielle and kirsty have started prepping for the video, making the words out of tea, a colour scheme was picked (mint C 50 M 0 Y 35 K 0, brown C 70 M 90 Y 100 K 30), priyesh has done the logo as well which is on the blog http://yourteablog.wordpress.com/ and james is working on four posters which we are going to print and put around uni, and jane is making a mailshot, and im creating the cup band.

 

This is the logo design that Priyesh had designed.

 

As my job is to create the band that is going to be used for cups of tea, i needed to start looking at other designs.
